The mystical ecstasy

Philosophy of contemplation

extase, époché, béatitude, NirvanaBut what is ecstasy ?

Happiness does not consist in the possession of herds and gold. It is in the soul which is the seat of bliss. Democritus

In our philosophical theory : Humanity is gradually moving towards spiritual perfection ecstasy *

* Spiritual ecstasy and accessible by all.. This is not yet the case.

But what is ecstasy ?

It is first of all, an essentially physical. A feeling of total well-being and living in the flesh. An independent felt reason and intelligence. According to the universal philosophical encyclopedia, this condition can understand love in its mystical form... For religion and God is love.
Ecstasy would have intended to bring man to an understanding of God through the flesh.

Two questions when needed.

What ecstasy itself?

Why humanity as a whole, she would lead to this higher state.

What are we talking about ecstasy ?

Obviously, we are talking about ecstasy is that of the mystics. This is the transcendental state actions described in the religion and philosophy. This is the ecstasy of the Sufis, Kabbalists, Monks Christian, Buddhist or Zen. This is the ecstasy of ascetics, hermits and dervishes. It is one and the same feeling described in different terms.

Ataraxia, epoche, supreme good, joy, ecstasy, bliss, bhakti, bliss, nirvana, enlightenment, wisdom... Are some of these terms. We are so far from ecstasy as designing the current language or advertising for example. Far from " falling into ecstasy " to a particular work, a particular car, a particular star.

A general description

To briefly describe the spiritual ecstasy, I would say this.

This is the absolute cessation of all physical and psychological disorder.

Diving in mind the only immediate.

Bodily sensation of intense and permanent pleasure.

The constant feeling of swimming in an ocean of love.

Acquisition With a slow pace.

Minimal need for sleep.

A feeling of being supported by the existence, obey him.

Intuitive search space of silence and contemplation.

The inability to focus on a specific intellectual work.

The total cessation of all fear, all anxiety.

Absolute confidence in life in creation.

The feeling of living in a rotating body like clockwork.

In a state of ecstasy, the body fully immersed in a kind of well-being and absolute sublime. The mind feels and enjoys. Free from the ego, he wanders into a feeling of absolute love. If we consider the absolute love of God as the size, ecstasy, thus giving the feel divine. It puts us in a sensitive and carnal relationship with this creative energy.

Speaking of ecstasy is not ecstasy

Most people who have experienced the ecstasy *, saying essentially the same thing.

* Experienced by accident ( in a state of imminent death, for example) or through asceticism and renunciation

It is a unique physical and psychological sensation. A state of wholeness and complete wellness. A time without creative intent without analysis or reflection. An untranslatable printing vocabulary. Close renunciation is bliss. Shri Aurobindo extracted from the Bhagavad Gita. There are " absolute intractability " between the explanation of this subliminal feeling and sensation itself. Between ecstasy experienced in the flesh, and the intellectualization of it.

Deviance terms

It is therefore a truly separate state current feelings of ordinary life. A singular perception, far from what the trivial language calls, ecstasy, joy, fulfillment, happiness or bliss.

Some of these words, once used by the great mystics have fallen into disuse. Others recovered by the consumer system, used to promote * vulgar pleasures.

* The joy of owning such a car, happiness and ecstasy of the flat screen.

The impossible overlap

Ordinary life and ecstatic life

Ibn Khaldoun , Sociologue, penseur, philosophe, historien, économiste, géographe, démographe et homme d'État d'origine yemenite, né en 1332 à Tunis, mort en 1406 au Caire« Joy is our escape out of time. » Simone Weil

The ecstatic state is a radically from all other states of existence. You can not be in ecstasy is "normal" at the same time. Both mental organizations are incompatible. They can not overlap. Ecstasy hunting out of mind all the vessels of the ego. All that is the subject and character.

Love came, writes rumi and it is like the blood in my veins and my skin, it destroyed me and filled me with the beloved.

To me it means that passage of Rubâi'yât like this.

Love is the essence of ecstasy. It irises of his enjoyment, every organ of the body Sufi each parcel of his flesh. When Rumi says " it (love ) has destroyed me," he speaks of the annihilation of the ego. That ecstasy destroyed everything that constitutes the ego of Rumi. He turned off the character he is in ordinary life. Instead, it was filled with God ( the beloved ). That of Love ( because God is love )..

The empty mind

Ecstasy off most mental processes going on in everyday life. This condition eliminates example, doubt, hesitation, duality, the desire for action. It eliminates the presence of time in consciousness. It destroys the emotional distinction between things. It scans the fear of death. He abolished the variability of emotional states, fluctuations Physical sensations.

Regarding the state of the yogi who by knowledge, is issued in life " and made " the supreme identity ", we quote again Sankaracharya [... ]
"The yogi, whose intellect and perfect, contemplate anything as dwelling itself ( in its own " self ", without any distinction between outside and inside) and so, by the eye of the knowledge (an expression that could be made fairly accurately "intellectual intuition ") he sees, or rather designs, not rationally or discursively, but by taking a direct and immediate consciousness consent that everything is Atma. Rene Guenon. Man and His Becoming according to the Vedanta

The sensory and psychological atmosphere of the two forms of feeling, is radically different. This difference is the same ontology of the human being.

Possession of ecstasy

The brief enjoyment and enjoy permanent

Tantrisme, Sculpture tantriqueI have two pleasures, la la la, la la la

Ecstatic feeling engenders a feeling of absolute love. A sense of balance and continuous enjoyment. Enjoyment of the common pleasure felt in normal life, sometimes highs. But it will never equal the ecstatic enjoyment. It is not a matter of intensity but of mind * and duration.

* State of mind in which to place the ecstasy.. mentality that drives sexuality is different from the mentality that drives the mystical ecstasy.

Plain enjoy

For example, the peak intensity of sexual orgasm, achieves the height of ecstatic enjoyment. But it is a very brief enjoyment.
The orgasmic explosion Irises flesh of absolute well-being, as does ecstasy. But without time to consciously feel the effects. A moment of sexual enjoyment floods although the body is identical to that of mystical ecstasy intoxication. But the brilliance of its effect does not allow the mind to truly grasp the scope.

The blissful enjoyment

The blissful enjoyment is the opposite of sexual enjoyment. She iridescent body and mind (as in the brief flash of sexual enjoyment ) but sustainably. Its scope and invariance gives us plenty of time to understand the subtleties. Enter its relationship with spirituality. The ecstatic happiness plunges the body and consciousness in a permanent enjoyment and without impulses. Sometimes for several days, as was the case of "patient" Janet.

* And in my case also

In this sense, ecstasy, bliss, would correspond to an orgasm become permanent. That is why mecaniqueuniverselle talking about sexual pleasure, as a kind of " subliminal advertising " for ecstasy.

Pascal
