Clues of God — Evidence in Creation

Universal Mechanics does not claim to prove the existence of God — that would be to misunderstand both God and proof. But it does point to certain features of reality that are, at the very least, consistent with the hypothesis of a creative principle oriented towards consciousness and love.

The fine-tuning of physical constants: the values of fundamental forces are precisely calibrated to permit the emergence of complex structures, life, and consciousness. A slight variation in any of them would have produced a lifeless universe. The emergence of life: from simple chemistry, something appeared that is capable of goal-directed behaviour, reproduction, and eventually consciousness. The direction of evolution: the overall trend of cosmic and biological evolution is towards increasing complexity, organisation, and consciousness — not the decay that a purely mechanistic view might predict.

These are not proofs. But they are clues — signs that point beyond themselves towards a reality that has, from the beginning, been oriented towards love and consciousness. As Universal Mechanics proposes: the universe has a direction, and that direction is God.
